3 October 2026. Sallayt? does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your selected city or device coordinates, calculation settings, reminder settings, prayer confirmations, adhkar progress, and widget content locally. The app and its widgets share the minimum widget and alarm information through an Apple App Group on your device.
Location
Location is optional. You can select a city manually. If you choose device location, iOS provides coordinates to calculate prayer times. The app may send those coordinates to Apple’s geocoding service to find a readable city name. Sallayt? does not send your location to a developer-operated server.
Internet services
Quran text, tafsir, and adhkar are bundled with the app. When you play a recitation, the selected audio is streamed from cdn.islamic.network. That service receives the network information required to serve the audio, such as your IP address. Apple supplies location and geocoding services when you request them.
Notifications and alarms
If you allow them, the app schedules prayer reminders locally on your device. On supported iOS versions you may separately enable prominent alarms. You can disable either permission in iOS Settings or turn reminders off in the app.
Backups and sharing
Backup files are created only when you request an export. You choose where or with whom to share the file using the iOS share sheet. Restoring reads the file you explicitly open with Sallayt?.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you change it, delete it, use “Delete all local data” in Settings, or uninstall the app. Exported backups remain wherever you saved or shared them and must be deleted there separately.
Your choices
You can use a manually selected city, deny location, disable notifications and alarms, stop audio playback, remove exported files, and delete all local app data at any time.
